20, Cloudland Canyon, and My Return to the Land of the Living

Hey friends! It's been a while. First of all, I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving. I know I did!

Earlier this semester, I got mono, which led to a couple long months of constant sickness and overall exhaustion. Long naps combined with a lot of school work ate up my free time, which is my excuse for my (much too) long vacation from blogging. Last week, however, I went back to the doctor and was told that I am now a mono-free gal (woohoo!!). This happened just in time for my 20th birthday, which was on the 16th.

I had an insanely amazing birthday weekend. On Saturday, I dragged Jackson out of bed at a bright an early 9 am so we could drive 45 minutes south of Chattanooga and hike in Cloudland Canyon. There's a super gorgeous five-mile round trail that makes for the perfect day hike. There is also a set of (over 1000, no joke) stairs that leads to two separate waterfalls, which are absolutely incredible. The rest of the weekend was spent hanging out with friends and even my parents, who came to see me on my actual birthday.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, it's back to Chattanooga for me, just in time for exams! It won't be long now, however, before I'm back in Nashville for the rest of the holidays!
